Six very talented a cappella quartets competed on August 17, 2019 n the 2nd annual Chicago Metro A Cappella Quaret Contest . At the end of the event Onset was crowned the 2019 Chicago Metro A Capella Quartet contest champion!

CHICAGO METRO CHORUS Public Performance
This is our 3rd apperance at the Rock N Roll Chicago Half Marthon this year held on Sunday July 22, 2018. Eleven early risers met on the corner of Madison and La Salle to perform "Retro Songs"of the 20's thru the 60's. Armed with just a pitch pipe the group performed a cappella in front of over 10,000 runners.

Chicago Retro Carols at Santa's Village Members of the Chicago Retro Quartet performed carols from Silent night to Jingle Bell Rock each weekend from the end of November to just before Christmas. CHICAGO METRO CHORUS is a non-profit organization and Community Service is one of its prime objectives. Our chorus sings for many civic, fraternal and charitable organizations in the Chicagoland area. The Barbershopper loves to sing and is ready to do so whenever asked to aid a worthy cause.

The Chicago Metro Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society competed at the 2017 Illinois Disrtict fall quartet and chorus contest on Saturday October 7th. Performing My Gal Sal and Yes Sir That's My Baby the chorus posted it's best score as the Chicago Metro Chorus.

On June 6, 2017 a contingency of 8 chorus members volunteered at a downtown Chicago awareness event on Kidney health. In return each volunteer got a free lunch and an opportunity to provide awareness of Barbershop Harmony with a booth where we displayed brochures and business cards. In both quartet and chorus alignment we performed several songs and got the audience to join in with Take Me Out to the Ball Game.

A combintion of two Chicago Metro quartets helps local realtor a present prime condo for sale in trendy River North. The client and John Q re-worded 4 lines of Sweet Roses of Morn to provide a special touch to the video she and her son have produced. The client Candace Kuzmarski believes the ownership of real estate is one of the best investments individuals can have. She also believes in the power of a cappella music in the barbershop style. Candace hired to John Q, Joseph S, Frank F, and Ernie C to perform in the lobby of 150 W Superior on May 18, 2017

Several reports from our holiday program confirmed that this group was a highlight of our holiday program. And our audience of adults with special needs can be a challenging audience sometimes, but this group handled the event like the pros they are. I'd have them back in a minute.
