Bob Williamson Memorial Service
Sunday, 24 March 2013, 03:00pm - 06:00pm
by Hits : 650

Dear Members and Friends:
Bob Williamson's Wake and Memorial Service will take place at Nelson Funeral Home, 5149 N. Ashland, Chicago (at the corner of Ashland and Foster) on SUNDAY, MARCH 24.  The Wake will begin at 3:00 p.m, with the Memorial Service to begin at 4:00.  Our Chapter Chorus has been asked to participate.  We will be singing "This Little Light of Mine," "Let There Be Peace on Earth," "From the First Hello" (quartet), "Irish Blessing," and "Bill Grogan's Goat" (quartet).
Contrary to our talk at Chapter meeting last evening, the family believes that "Bill Grogan's Goat" would be appropriate and wanted during the service, because the entire service will be a Celebration of Bob Williamson's Life and Legacy.  The quartet should be prepared to sing it when asked by the family.  (I understand there will be a written program, and that probably will tell when "Goat" and the other songs will be sung.
Our Chorus uniform will be black pants and Chapter black shirt, with yellow tie.  If anyone does not have everything, call Jim Jarosz at 708-925-5201.  But don't stay away because you do not have the complete uniform; your presence is more important than the uniform.
Nelson Funeral Home will have a warmup room.  Someone should ask about it when you arrive.  Please be there by 3:30 to warm up your voices.  You can talk to the family and share remembrances between 3:00 and 3:30.
There will be light refreshments after the service.  There will be an opportunity at that time for my quartet and chorus singing if you wish and if appropriate.
If you know someone who knew Bob, but may not have received this message, please send it to them.
Thanks, all.
   Frank Schneider
